Job Description:

This position includes:

• Working alongside a colleague to create an exciting environment for supervising and providing academic support for children ages Pre-k through 12th grade.  

• Clerical Duties ( Example but not limited to submission of sign in sheets to ECS Central Office staff member, arriving early to unlock and prepare materials, closing the building at the end of class.

• Collaborating with Elkin City Schools professionals to ensure that all needs of the program are met.

Purpose:

• The purpose is to cultivate growth in the whole child by providing support not only in academics, but in English language development and cross-cultural awareness.  

Hours:

• 4:30pm - 7:30pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the program follows the College and Career Readiness calendar provided by Surry Community College.

Job Description:

This position includes:

• Working alongside a colleague to create an exciting environment for supervising and providing academic support for children ages Pre-k through 12th grade.  

• Clerical Duties ( Example but not limited to routine submission of lesson plans/photos/ sign in sheets, arriving early to unlock and prepare materials, closing the building at the end of class, maintaining emergency contact information on students, coordinate with ECS Central Office staff member to plan meals, snacks, supplies, etc.)

• Collaborating with Surry Community College and Elkin City Schools professionals to ensure that all needs of the program are met.

Purpose:

• The purpose is to cultivate growth in the whole child by providing support not only in academics, but in English language development and cross-cultural awareness.  

Hours:

• 4:15pm - 7:30pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the program follows the College and Career Readiness calendar provided by Surry Community College. 

Qualifications:  

• Active NC teaching license preferred.
